This month I don’t think I’ve been as invested in film and television as much as I have been with music and video games. I just haven’t had the time to sit down and relax in front of my tv. However, I’ve still managed to note a few that have caught my eye this month.
Movies
Spider-man: Homecoming
I love this movie a lot. Before this, I wasn’t that big of a fan of Spider-Man as much as other Marvel heroes. However, Tom Holland won me over and this is now probably one of my favourite movies. Also, having Iron Man be a key character is always a plus for me.
Inside Out
I’m a huge Disney fanatic, so whenever I need to take a break from things, I always turn to their movies. Inside Out is one of my all-time favourites, and I feel like it has an incredible message for children. It also never fails to make me cry.
TV
Peaky Blinders
I’ve been meaning to watch this show for ages and as I was writing a historical crime novel for a module at university, I watched a few episodes for inspiration. Although, I’m still not finished with the first season, I’m getting pretty invested in it. The actors and characters are so interesting and I can’t wait to find the time to watch more.
Games
The Sims Mobile
I used to play The Sims Freeplay a lot on my iPad, but I downloaded The Sims Mobile after its release and I find it so much more fun. This game doesn’t rely on paying for gems or anything as much as the other, so I can quite happily play without having to pay for anything. However, it does progress in real time, which can become a little frustrating if you’re busy that day.
Overwatch
I love this game. Although, I don’t know much about the characters or the world as a whole, I still find it really fun to get involved in. Plus, I play with Dougie (Second Star To The Right) a lot; they’re a lot better at it than me, but I don’t think they mind me on their team too much!
Music
Neck Deep – The Peace and the Panic
I’ve seen this band so many times, they always seem to be supporting the bands I like, but I’ve never properly listened to them before. After hearing that they did a song with Architect’s Sam Carter, however, I couldn’t not give them a listen… and I’ve been obsessed with this album since.
Enter Shikari – Live & Acoustic at Alexandra Palace
Even though I think I included a Shikari live album in last months favourites, I couldn’t stop myself from including another this month. I love listening to acoustic albums while playing my DS as I find it helps me relax, and I’ve been choosing this one more than others recently. It’s one of those albums that makes you understand just why you love a band so much.
Waterparks – Entertainment
Although, this isn’t my favourite Waterparks album, that being their debut Double Dare, this is one I’ve been listening to a lot lately. The first five or six songs are some I love to listen to while going on my walks, having fun subconsciously stepping along with the beat and they’re definitely the kind of songs you wake up singing for no apparent reason.
Other
Disney Striped Halter Neck by Forever 21
I’m going to Disneyland Paris on Monday and it’s essential to buy a few Disney related things before leaving. I found this top in my nearest Forever 21 store and I immediately fell in love. It’s not something I usually wear, it being a little too bright for my wardrobe, however, I get serious 90’s vibes from it so I couldn’t help but buy it.
