Witchy Wednesday | Tarot/Oracle Decks I want to spend more time with in 2021

So, I’m a tarot and oracle card collector, having a fair few decks in my collection nowadays, but sometimes I don’t have enough time in the day to spend time with all of them. To try and branch out and connect with my decks more, I’ve decided to compose a little list of decks I’m hoping to spend some more time using in the upcoming year. Enjoy!

This deck was a Christmas gift from my family, it having been on my wish list for quite a few years before eventually managing to hold it in my hands. As it’s been such a recent purchase, I don’t have much of a reason to feel guilty for having not used this deck very much, however, it is one of the decks I’m most excited for using in the future. Fingers crossed, I’ll connect with them very easily!

The Light Seer’s Tarot | Chris-Anne

Published: 2019, by Hay House, UK.
Pages: 184 (+ 78 Cards)
By reimagining the traditional tarot archetypes and symbols in a contemporary, boho, and intuitive style, The Light Seer’s Tarot expresses the light and shadow sides of our natures and explores the lessons that can be learned from both.
The expressive characters who live within the landscapes of the cards tell stories, ask questions, and provide guidance. This deck is an ideal companion as you seek to uncover the places in your life – and in yourself – that are most in need of illumination.

Admittedly, I haven’t put this deck down since purchasing it around a month ago, but it’s still very early days and I’m making a vow to myself to keep using it as much as possible. I feel so connected to this deck, adoring the bright imagery and guidebook that comes with it. I have a few plans to work with it more in the new year, so I’m hoping they’ll become reality very soon.

Its influence is reflected in the way you think, how you make decisions, what you encounter within yourself, and the conditions of your world. With guidance from intuitive master and oracle expert Colette Baron-Reid, you can now awaken the power of Source within you, becoming a channel for Divine abundance and miracles.

This deck is one I wasn’t particularly fond of after the first few uses, the images not resonating with me as much as I’d have liked. However, I’m determined to try and use it more often before considering parting with it from my collection. So, starting in the new year, I’m going to make extra effort to bond with them and hopefully build up my connection again to ensure I don’t disregard them completely unnecessarily.

Traditional Manga Tarot | Shou Xueting

Published: 2020, by Lo Scarabeo.
Pages: 63 (+78 Cards)
Traditional manga style meets the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot in this outstanding new deck. The manga art of these cards captures the graceful, imaginative energy of the form and adds an element of shadow energy that makes Traditional Manga Tarot a true reading deck. Artist Shou Xueting displays the rich beauty that comes from staying true to the soft surrealism of traditional manga in a way that blends perfectly with the archetypal power of tarot.

These cards are absolutely stunning, having wanted a manga style deck for a while and after spotting it from the corner of my eye I just knew I had to grab it. It’s an absolutely gorgeous deck, with perfect cardstock and vivid illustrations. I just know I’m going to connect with them, I just need to spend a little more time in their company.

I was so drawn to the figure on the front of this box when I spotted them in a mystical store, so much that I immediately grabbed onto them and didn’t let go. That immediately shown me that we had a connection, and they’re all I’ve thought about whilst doing magical workings since. I just haven’t had the time to bond with them as much as I’d have liked, but I’m hoping to in the future with the help of this blog.
