Witchy Wednesday | Pick a Card: Monthly Forecast (April ’21)

So, it’s the first Wednesday in April, which means that it’s time for your Monthly Forecast! For those curious, all you have to do is read the signifier cards for each pile, then choose a pile of cards below, scroll to that pile’s subheading and receive this month’s tarot reading. Feel free to drop a comment below of what you thought!

If you’re uncertain of what this means, it’s a simple, generalised tarot reading for you. As mentioned in last month’s reading, I’m fairly acquainted with tarot now, having been studying for a few years, however, that does not mean that I’m in any way a professional. I’m just doing this for fun and practice.
For this monthly forecast, you don’t have to be well-versed in tarot or oracle, there are no requirements, and you’re welcome to scroll down and read them all if you want to. Just enjoy the reading in whatever way you feel most comfortable with.

The entire reading might not apply to you, remember this is a general reading for the blogging community, but take the reading however you wish and embrace the message that the cards bring.
The decks I’m using this month are Chris-Anne’s The Sacred Creator’s Oracle, Amanda Lovelace’s Believe In Your Own Magic Oracle and the Hush Tarot by Jeremy Hush, to bring a little fantasy into the month ahead.

From Left to Right: Pile 1 (Limitations Inspire Innovations), Pile 2 (Ambush Fear With Your Ferocious Dream) and Pile 3 (External Validation)

If you chose… Pile 1 (Limitations Inspire Innovations):

From Left to Right: ‘Limitations Inspire Innovations’, Eight of Pentacles, Ace of Swords, ‘Expectations’, Ten of Swords and Six of Pentacles

If you chose Pile 1, you were drawn to the prompt of ‘Limitations Inspire Innovations’, which talks about your potential and finding solutions to those problems that are holding over you. As ‘Expectations’ implies you’ve set yourself unrealistic expectations of yourself, seeking approval and yet there’s potential for you to blossom if you just let go of those opinions of yourself. It’s easier said than done, I know, but the Eight of Pentacles is focusing on finding creative solutions to those problems, and I have no doubt that you’ll get there. There is good news ahead, as the Ace of Swords ponders your intelligence and possibilities, but there is the fear of defeat hanging over you with the Ten of Swords, which is what is holding you back. Nevertheless, with a little generosity towards yourself, as the Six of Pentacles suggests, you’ll be able to move forward in the direction you desire. You can share your burdens with others, and work together, as you have the potential to get to where you want to be.

If you chose… Pile 2 (Ambush Fear With Your Ferocious Dream):

From Left to Right: ‘Ambush Fear With Your Ferocious Dream’, Queen of Swords, Nine of Cups, ‘Witch’, Ace of Wands, and Three of Swords

With Pile 2, you were drawn to the prompt of ‘Ambush Fear With Your Ferocious Dream’, which explores the ability to take risks and be courageous. Whether this is you currently or who you aspire to be, you’re handling it with grace – as the ‘Witch’ card suggests. Justice is coming, and whether you’re ready for it or not, you need to be brave and take forward your desires to ensure you’re where you want to be. The Queen of Swords is a confident soul, and she’s ready to face whatever lies ahead. However, you’re not alone, as the Nine of Cups implies comfort and accomplishment, whether that be from the people around you or comfort you provide yourself with. You’re a hard-worker, much alike the Ace of Wands, and there is good news ahead which will spark you with joy. However, there are elements of loss as with the Three of Swords, but with your courage and inspiration from those around you, you will reach your desires.

If you chose… Pile 3 (External Validation):

From Left to Right: ‘External Validation’, The Fool, The Tower, ‘Thorns’, Queen of Wands, and Ace of Cups.

If you chose Pile 3, you were drawn to the card ‘External Validation’ which highlights the concept of listening to your heart and emit a warm energy to the world around you. There’s a lot of positivity in this reading, ‘Thorns’ discussing the celebration of self love, whilst The Fool implies there being a new beginning, a fresh start, and the innocence and hope of starting again. However, this may come as a sudden change to you, The Tower being struck by lightning without warning, but this will come as a positive change. There is nothing to fear, as the Queen of Wands is full of determinisation and raw positive energy, whilst the Ace of Cups contemplates and positive emotional change within your life. This reinforces the signifier of this reading, highlighting the idea of listening to your heart’s desire.

  1. I’ve been so looking forward to this! I ended up with pile 3 and I feel like it’s always an accurate and important fact for me to keep trying with myself. I need to do better listening to my heart and what I emotionally want out of my own little world. The cards are all so goddamn beautiful this month too, by the way. They’re so calming and colourful, and I enjoyed how you switched it up a bit too by offering a word prompt for each pile while it was still hidden without much context to it. This was a great reading this month, and I’ll try and remember your advice. 👍💜

    1. Thank you so much for reading! Pile 3 was my choice too, and I feel the exact same as you. The decks this month are some of my favourites, especially the tarot. I wish you a very happy April! 💖
