This month has been a slight improvement to June reading wise, and I’ve managed to find a few new favourite reads. Fingers crossed things improve for August.
Note: This post contains spoilers from the Half Bad Trilogy by Sally Green.
Finally, I’ve encountered a month where the associated character was easy to choose. Although, there was a few torn characters, I knew the series I’d choose immediately; one of my teenage years favourites. Continue reading “Character of the Month (July ’20) | Nathan Byrn”

So, this month I’m mixing things up a little. Usually, I take my read’s for the month via a TBR Jar, however, considering this month is my birthday month I felt it was time to treat myself and choose my reads for July.

My boyfriend recently bought a Kindle, having wanted to get back into reading for a while now, and it got me thinking of what my personal recommendations would be. There’s so many to choose from and it took a while to break them down, but here we go. Without further ado, here are my top five Young Adult recommendations! Yet again, I’m late with this month’s post. I’m starting to think I’m subconsciously trying to reschedule when this post should be uploaded. Nevertheless, I’ve decided to stop my little habit I’ve been having of trying to alter the gender of my characters per month and simply talk about whoever I love whenever. Hopefully, this’ll help my scheduling better as I’m not restraining myself when choosing someone each month. Anyways, rambling aside, onto this month’s character! So, this week is the one we’ve been counting down for since last year; YALC (Young Adult Literature Convention) and LFCC (London Film & Comic Con) Weekend! This year is going to be my first time attending both, even though I’ve been monitoring it for years, but I’ve finally been able to find the time and cash to attend. So, considering it’s so close, I thought I’d dedicate this week’s Top Five Tuesday to the authors I’m most anticipating meeting. I’ve decided to limit myself to two books to get signed per author, as I don’t want to be that person and I struggle with a lot with my back after an injury a few years ago so I don’t want to be carrying too many books into the venue before the convention even starts! Continue reading “Top Five Tuesday | Authors I’m hoping to meet at YALC 2018”
I was tagged by the wonderful Dougie (Second Star To The Right) to participate in 20 book-related questions and it was so much fun! Continue reading “Telling Tales | The 20 Questions Tag”
I adore characters. I have the tendency to become attached to characters the moment I read their names, so I thought I’d dedicate this week to some of my favourite male character names. Some may be protagonists, some antagonists, but I love their names too much to dislike them regardless. Continue reading “Top Five Tuesday | Favourite Character Names (Male)”
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts, I’ve been struggling to think of what to talk about. Thankfully, I was scrolling through my Goodreads favourites and saw how quickly I read a few of them and decided to talk about those. As I’ve talked about characters a bit recently, I thought I’d dedicate this week to books I loved so much I read in one-sitting. Continue reading “Top Five Tuesday | One-Sitting Reads (YA)”
