So, this month has been quite a successful one for me, managing to get through quite a few books regardless of my slump the month before and the lack of success in my 2021 Reading Challenge. Overall, I’m very happy with what I have achieved!Continue reading “January ’22 | Wrap Up”
So, 2021 is over and is the first year where I haven’t managed to complete my Goodreads Challenge since 2018. No matter though, because I’m facing 2022 head on and I’m going to smash this goal!Continue reading “January ’22 | To Read”
So, this month I’ve tried my best to take things easy, having struggled a little with my mental health meaning that my reading hasn’t been of a top priority. Nevertheless, I’m quite impressed with how much I’ve managed to accomplish with this low mindset.Continue reading “January ’21 | Wrap Up”
Note: This post contains spoilers from the Fruits Basket series by Natsuki Takaya.
This month, I’ve been delving back into my all-time favourite manga series, Fruits Basket, and I’ve hit the peak part of the plot where a lot of the development takes place, and I can’t help but feel drawn to one character in particular.Continue reading “Character of the Month (January ’21) | Yuki Sohma”
Considering it’s the start of a new month (and year) I thought I’d try something new with this blog and offer monthly tarot and oracle card readings! Now, a small disclaimer, I am fairly new to offering these kinds of readings, usually only ever offering them to loved ones, however, I feel ready enough to try this.
You don’t have to be acquainted with tarot and oracle for this, there are no requirements, and you’re welcome to scroll down and read them all if you want to. Just enjoy the reading in whatever way you feel most comfortable with.
For those curious, all you have to do is choose a pile of cards below, scroll to that pile’s subheading and receive this month’s reading! Feel free to drop a comment below of what you thought!
So, this year I’ve decided that I’m going to be cutting back on my reading challenge a little, choosing to focus on other areas in my life, but I’m still going to be devoting as much time as I have available to reading! It’s still my biggest passion, however, there’s other commitments that I have to make too. Overall, my goal is going to be to read 50 books this year, but I’m not going to add any pressure onto myself to achieve it if it’s unachievable.Continue reading “January ’21 | To Read”
One of my goals for the New Year was to start being more productive on this blog, which I think I’ve achieved in the past month. Although, there were a few timing issues, I think I managed it as best as I could have. Besides, it’s only been one month, by the end of the year I might be even more efficient than when I first started! That’s the goal anyway. Continue reading “January ’20 | Wrap Up”
Note: This post may contain spoilers from Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy series.
When it comes around to these monthly posts, I usually try to generate a character that’s relevant to how my month has gone or upcoming books. However, this month has been a particularly slow one. I have no huge reason for dedicating January 2020 to this character, other than the fact I have been re-watching the series. Hang on, while writing this post I suddenly thought of a reason. Okay, here we go… Since the return of one of my favourite bands, the singer of which being the creator of The Umbrella Academy, I thought I’d dedicate this month to one of my favourite characters. Nailed it!
An important note: I’m quite behind with the graphic novels, so this post will be only discussing Netflix’s adaptation of the character. Sorry, super fans! Continue reading “Character of the Month (January ’20) | Klaus Hargreeves”
So, this year my Goodreads challenge is to read 65 books. I’m going to keep the system where to choose three priority reads before delving into the other categories later. I’m hoping to gradually get through some of my To Read pile this year. Continue reading “January ’20 | To Read”
How are we one month down in 2019 already?! This month has been fairly unproductive for me, aside from the occasional read, as I’ve been in recovery with my health meaning I’ve had very little time/energy to fully devote myself to many activities. Nevertheless, I’m determined to push that aside in February and full delve into my blog and remain as positive as possible. Continue reading “January ’19 | Wrap Up”
