Top Five Tuesday | Favourite Book to Screen Adaptations

So, since the release of Shadow and Bone on Netflix, I’ve been thinking a lot about the quality of films and television shows that were adapted from books. There’s so many good ones out there, that I thought I’d compose a short list of a few of my favourites.

February ’21 | Wrap Up

So, this month my mental health has deteriorated slightly, meaning I’ve felt unable to read as much as I’d have liked. Nevertheless, I’ve been persevering with Graphic Novels and Manga to keep my Goodreads Challenge numbers up.

Top Five Tuesday | YA Tropes I Love

So, this month I’ve delved into a few titles that I wouldn’t usually explore, such as Women’s Literature and Chick Lit, which has opened a few doors to me about tropes that are popular within those genres. As someone who has been in love with the Young Adult genre from a young age, I’ve discovered a lot about what’s popular and not within the genre and so I thought I’d compose a post about some of my favourite tropes within YA. Top Five Tuesday | Favourite F/M Couples in fiction

It’s been a while since I’ve had the motivation to write another Top Five Tuesday, but considering this week is Valentines Day, it’s given me the inspiration needed to finally write this post. A few years ago, I wrote a post along similar lines of my Favourite M/M Couples in YA, but this year I decided to broaden the subject slightly to make things a little easier. Character of the Month (December ’18) | Tina Goldstein

Note: This post contains spoilers from the Fantastic Beasts series.

Okay, hear me out. I know that I made Newt Scamander the Character of the Month in November, but I simply cannot stop thinking about this series and how wonderful all its characters are. Plus, the fact that Newt and Tina were separated only made things more muddled in The Crimes of Grindelwald so it wouldn’t be right to separate them on this blog too… Continue reading “Character of the Month (December ’18) | Tina Goldstein”

November ’18 | Wrap Up

Firstly, I’d just like to apologise for how late this post is, but I’ve felt unable to blog until now. This past month I’ve not been as active on this blog as much as I’d have liked. My health has suffered slightly recently, meaning I’ve hardly been motivated to do much outside of this blog, let alone with the content I create. Unfortunately, this means I’ve not made much progress with reading either. But no matter! December is a new month and I’m going to try my hardest to get back into the swing of things again. Top Five Tuesday | Favourite Character Names (Female)

A while back I listed my top five male character names and had a lot of fun choosing and talking about my reasoning for them. (Read my decisions here) So, I thought it was only fair that I do the same with female characters. There’s a lot of interesting names out there, so there’s a huge chance that I’ll redo this list at some point. However, currently, these names are my favourites! Top Five Tuesday | Books I could reread forever

I originally was considering dedicating this week to anticipated reads for the second half of the year, but I’ve done two weeks like this in the past and I thought that was overdoing it slightly. (I’ll probably run out of ideas and do it eventually though) So, I thought I’d write about books I love so much that I never get fed up of. There’s quite a long list, so it’s difficult to put it down to five, but I’m sure I can do another like it eventually.  Continue reading “Top Five Tuesday | Books I could reread forever”
